THE STORY
Inspired In 1996, motivated in 2007, and to ok flight in 2012 when Raphael and Berina, sharing a love of art and business, formed SignsOfarts, a diverse, draw-it-by-hand, make-it-from-scratch, do-it together creative studio, in a upstairs apartment which they rented in the West-Coast area
In the years since, SignsOfarts has worked on a wide array of unique projects with some of the best people from the western Cape and beyond.
We strive to keep our work unique and real, with room for a little surprise.

ABOUT US
WHAT'S IN THE NAME?
With a wide range of experience in the art industry, Raphael has a name inspired by both the beauty of people and the rich environment that surrounds us. From the very beginning Raphael felt passionate about helping people appreciate art at any level of society.
Using his French culture background, he came up with the name in French ‘Signes des arts’ which translates into English as art’s signs, or ‘signs of art’, meaning art is present everywhere. And the name was born, Signs Of Arts.
Yep! SignsOfarts, unassuming but unforgettable name, which is visually both humorous and memorable….an embodiment of the artist himself. Voila!
MEET THE TEAM
We regret for the lack of visible photos now. We're currently in the process of uploading our selfies, but we're eager to introduce ourselves and share more about our roles.
At the heart of our operations, we have The Artistic Brilliance of our two ladies managing THE OFFICE. They are our guardians of finance, designs, and production, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks and upholding high standards for our team's creative output. These women truly embody the Creative Force behind our team.
In THE STUDIO, we have our Artist, a Creative Designer and Beauty Maker. Known as an artrepreneur, he possesses an extraordinary ability to perceive beauty around us and recreate it in his work. Whether through drawing, painting, sign writing, or any other medium, he has a remarkable capacity for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Our FIELD SERVICE Team consists of a group of adventurous and diverse personalities who are always on the move. They are the Makers, deeply committed to their craft, and the Producers, always taking charge and making things happen. Comprised of five skilled individuals, this team has been meticulously trained and groomed by the Artist since 2010, specifically for SignsOfarts.
While we may not have photographs to share just yet, we are excited for you to meet the passionate individuals who make up our team.
